76% Of All Cavities Are Missed By Dentists In The U.S. Today!

(Bensenville, IL) Bensenville dentist, Dr. Cary G. Blumberg has unveiled a new FDA approved device that confirms the earlier findings that dentists miss more than three quarters of the cavities found on common tooth surfaces in adults and children.

According to Dr. Blumberg the most frequent area for tooth decay in adults and children is on the biting surface of the back teeth, the molars and bicuspids. Traditionally dentists have used the explorer, visual examination and x-rays to detect cavities. “Unfortunately its now apparent that flipping a coin is more accurate than these traditional cavity detection techniques,” says Dr. Blumberg, who is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists.

Dr. Blumberg is correcting this problem by utilizing a new compact diode laser called the Diagnodent. The Diagnodent is “revolutionizing dental diagnostics.”

The Diagnodent provides an objective accurate way to detect and measure decay on these problem teeth in its earliest stages. There are huge numbers of teeth out there that are believed to be healthy and cavity free when in reality are in early or advanced stages of active decay.

This early detection system means the cavity can be treated very easily and in a lot of cases without the need for anesthesia.
